On 27 Sept., China Automotive Technology & Research Center Co., Ltd. (CATARC) and Shanghai PATEO Yuezhen Electronic Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. signed an agreement in Tianjin, by which both parties would unfold strategic cooperation on relevant standards of intelligent connected vehicles (ICV).

Yu Kai, President, CPC Party Secretary & General Manager of CATARC; Ken (Yilun) Ying, Founder & Chairman of PATEO; Zhou Hua, General Manager of TATC (Tianjin Automotive Test Center), CATARC and more were present at the signing ceremony.

CATARC is a comprehensive technical service organization that enjoys extensive influence in the automotive industry both at home and abroad, with business covering industrial service, standards, policy research, testing, engineering technology R&D, certification and big data, etc.

Shanghai PATEO is known in the industry as the earliest and the most competitive connected car technology company in China that boasts the most extensive ecosystem layout. According to the latest data of the ICV patent disclosure in China, PATEO holds the most connected car patents among all Chinese enterprises.

On the same day, National Quality Supervision and Inspection Center for Intelligent Connected Vehicle (Tianjin) witnessed its inauguration ceremony, making it the first national quality inspection center in the ICV testing field to pass qualification accreditation and authorization. At the ceremony, Ken was appointed as Vice Chairman of the Committee of Experts of the Center.

Meanwhile, Li Deyi, Member of Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence; Yu Zhuoping, Assistant to President, Professor & Doctoral Supervisor of Tongji University; and Pan Hanzhong, Deputy Director of Traffic Management Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security, etc. were also appointed as Chairman or Vice Chairman.
