PATEO Secures First Project Designation for the 8397 Platform on Overseas Models from a Leading Domestic New Energy OEM
On September 14, PATEO (02889.HK) announced that the company had received a formal project designation notice from a leading domestic high-end new energy vehicle OEM. This is the first time PATEO has been selected as a supplier for the customer's next-generation overseas models under its flagship brand, to undertake the R&D and mass production delivery of high-end intelligent cockpit domain controllers and AI interactive systems based on Qualcomm's 8397 next-generation high-performance cockpit chip platform.
The Qualcomm 8397 is the fifth-generation Snapdragon intelligent cockpit chip platform from Qualcomm, capable of supporting intelligent features such as on-device AI computing power, multimodal interaction and multi-screen linkage. The project designation covers the first batch of models in the customer's overseas product matrix. Subsequent series of models from the customer under the same platform will also be based on the 8397 Platform. The project's overseas scope covers major regions worldwide, including Europe, Central and South America and Canada, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, Central Asia, Africa and Oceania.
The project designation marks another substantive breakthrough in PATEO's globalization strategy. It represents a leap in the company's cooperation with the leading new energy vehicle OEM, from the domestic market to a global footprint and from a mature technology platform to a next-generation platform, while further underscoring the customer's strong recognition of the company's deep technological expertise, platform-based R&D framework and global delivery capabilities.
From serving global automakers to partnering with Chinese brands in their global expansion, PATEO is advancing its globalization strategy on two complementary fronts.
