On August 19, PATEO (02889.HK) issued a voluntary announcement declaring that it has received from a leading new energy vehicle OEM a project designation notice that it has been selected as the supplier of the 8397-based cockpit platform for its next-generation new vehicle models.
It is understood that the 8397 has been officially designated as a platform-wide configuration for this leading automaker. Combined with its currently supplied 8295 and other platform products, PATEO has achieved full-series coverage of the automaker’s cockpit platforms, representing a comprehensive upgrade of their cooperation to a deep, multi-platform collaboration.
As Qualcomm's fifth-generation cockpit computing platform, the 8397 features a powerful computing foundation capable of supporting cutting-edge capabilities such as multimodal perception and on-device large model inference. Achieving a comprehensive leap forward in AI computing power, computing performance, and high-definition graphics rendering, it serves as Qualcomm's core platform for next-generation on-device AI intelligent cockpits. Based on this platform, PATEO will build a next-generation in-vehicle interaction system powered by physical AI and domain-wide intelligent agents, enabling intelligent functions including real-time environment inference, proactive mobility services, and natural human-vehicle interaction.
As one of the few core intelligent cockpit solution providers in the industry deeply integrated into both the Huawei and Qualcomm ecosystems, PATEO has achieved large-scale deployment across three core platforms: Qualcomm’s 8295 and 8397, and Huawei’s Kirin 9610A. This project designation marks that PATEO’s technical solutions for building physical AI and in-vehicle intelligent agent systems based on high-end cockpit platforms have gained broad recognition from mainstream automakers.
